AbstractThe aim of this systematic review is to shed light on the role of tumor budding (TB) in the biology, behavior, and prognosis of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). A search was run in PubMed, Scopus, and Embase databases following PRISMA guidelines. After full‐text screening and application of inclusion/exclusion criteria, 36 articles were included. Several investigations support the prognostic role of TB, which might play a role in selecting rational treatment strategies. To achieve this goal, further research is needed for greater standardization in TB quantification. Although TB is not included as a negative prognostic factor in the current management guidelines, it might be reasonable to consider a closer follow‐up for HNSCC cases with high histopathological evidence of TB.

Spontaneous Artificial Corneal Endothelial Graft Reattachment: Case Report

Purpose: EndoArt, a synthetic endothelial substitute for corneal edema, often requires multiple rebubbling procedures because of high detachment rates. This study reports 2 cases of spontaneous EndoArt reattachment, suggesting a potential alternative management approach. Methods: Two patients with endothelial dysfunction underwent EndoArt implantation. Both experienced partial detachment postoperatively. Although rebubbling was considered, a conservative approach was taken, leading to spontaneous reattachment. Serial anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) monitored graft adherence and corneal thickness. Results: Spontaneous reattachment occurred within 2 to 6 weeks, accompanied by progressive corneal thinning and clarity improvement. No further intervention was required, and reattachment remained stable for 6 to 8 months. These cases challenge the notion that all EndoArt detachments necessitate immediate rebubbling. Conclusions: This is the first report of spontaneous EndoArt reattachment. Although rebubbling remains standard practice, observation may be a viable option in select cases, reducing the need for additional procedures. Further studies are needed to refine management strategies and improve outcomes.

Effectiveness of Educational Interventions to Develop Patient Safety Competencies in Undergraduate Nursing Students: A Systematic Review

Background: Nursing professionals are key to providing safe care that improves patient outcomes. Hence, it is essential to focus on developing nurses’ patient safety competencies and principles. Purpose: This review examined the effectiveness of educational interventions in developing patient safety knowledge, skills, behaviors, and attitudes in undergraduate nursing students. Methods: The search strategy aimed to identify published and unpublished studies in databases and grey literature. Studies were assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute critical appraisal tools. Results: A total of 36 studies met the inclusion criteria. The teaching methods employed single or combined interventions and the educational interventions suggested either improvements in outcomes or no impact. Conclusion: The effectiveness of educational interventions to develop patient safety competencies in undergraduate nursing students, either as a single or combined strategy, was mixed. Further research is needed to provide more robust evidence on which teaching method for patient safety is most effective.
